When e'er I look
When e'er i see
The throngs of people
A multitude, so many
With eyes downcast
With a smile upside-down
With heads hung low
With hearts torn apart
I wonder, Do you see?
Do You see all the misery?
Do You hear the agony?
Do You feel the tragedy?
Do You have the remedy?
How long, O Lord
How long till they see
See Your love and Your mercy
Will You come for them
Like You came for me?
I lay these doubts
I lay these fears
At the cross, where my burdens You bear
Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light
Hope and forgiveness,
Love and mercy
Well up within me, as I draw near
You are El Roi, the God who sees
I will be still and know that You are GOD
You will be EXALTED over all the nations, even North Africa
